Chinese, sushi and hibachi under one roof
Asian taste in Atlanta
The Orient
The Orient brings three kitchens under one roof in Atlanta. A Chinese kitchen, a sushi bar and a room of teppanyaki grills, each with its own cooks and its own repertoire, and one dining room where a single table can order from all three. That is why no two visits here look quite the same.

Chinese, sushi, hibachi
Three kitchens, one table
Order dumplings and Mongolian beef from the Chinese menu, nigiri cut to order at the sushi bar, or take a hibachi table and watch dinner cooked in front of you. None of it is a separate restaurant with a separate booking. It is one menu, one room and one bill.

“The simplicity of Japanese cuisine is what makes it so elegant. It’s about using the best ingredients and bringing out their natural flavors.”Chef Nobu Matsuhisa
Seasonal
In season, or not at all
Produce that is used out of season will always leave you wanting. So the menu follows what is good right now, and what is not good right now waits until it is. It is the least glamorous decision a kitchen makes and the one you taste first.

The room
Where you will sit
Velvet armchairs and marble-topped tables in the main dining room. A bar lit blue after dark, hibachi tables along the windows, and a patio of fire tables and wicker chairs beside the garden pond. Come for lunch and it is one room; come at night and it is another.
